He should've been in Argentina.

There, the top figure linked to the Odebrecht scandal, Gustavo Arribas, has had all charges against him dropped despite hard evidence showing both undeclared Swiss accounts and Odebrecht deposits in them.

And where's Arribas now? His longtime business partner and friend Macri made him head of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI).

Not surprisingly, the AFI is now embroiled in a massive extortion and shakedown scandal (https://www.democraticunderground.com/110866787).

"He's always been the best when it comes to trickery," Macri explained.

That said, All the Best to Mr. García's family.

Whatever could be said against him, it's a shame it ended this way for him.

To the end he did not take responsibility for his actions. We can only hope karma is real.

He was about to be arrested. While its perfectly possible that he choose death over jail but its just as possible that his criminal associates decided that "dead men tell no tales" was a better outcome for them.

The 69-year-old politician – who faced accusations of taking bribes from the Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht during his 2006-2011 presidency – was admitted to a nearby hospital soon after, at about 6.45am, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
