Mueller was unable to conclude that "no criminal conduct occurred"

Source: CNN

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was unable to clear the president on obstruction. The report states that the evidence obtained “about the about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred.”

Here's what the special counsel team said:

"If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment. The evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

"If I would have interviewed Trump, I could have confidently made the determination that he obstructed justice. But, hey, who needs to force him to sit down and answer questions? We'll just conclude we couldn't conclude."

So unless the report states someone didn't let him subpoena Trump, Mueller screwed us.

Maligning the investigation, threatening potential witnesses, etc? Why are we constantly asked to give this asshole the benefit of the doubt in the face of his obvious and blatant criminality? WTF?

Even the redacted Mueller report shows that the president spent hours trying to obstruct this report, he had no interest in the fact that this country was attacked by a foreign country, he was only interested in saving his butt.

I keep going back to this:

"Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained or, on occasion, ‘regretted,’ that, unless one were detached from the whole process from the beginning, unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle, what all these ‘little measures’ that no ‘patriotic German’ could resent must some day lead to, one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the corn growing. One day it is over his head."

Read the book. With a few changes, it could be contemporary history.
