HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) Republican lawmakers are refusing to commit to the millions of dollars sought by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf to back up his demand that Pennsylvanias counties buttress election security by replacing their voting machines before 2020?s presidential elections.
Republicans who control Pennsylvanias Legislature say that a roughly $34 billion budget counterproposal they are finalizing does not include the $15 million Wolf requested, and that they want Wolf to back off his stated intention to decertify voting machines in use last year.
Republicans never agreed to require counties to replace voting machines, and helping finance the purchases is Wolfs problem, not theirs, said Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman, R-Centre.
This was a crisis that the governor created, and he needs to resolve it, Corman said in an interview. I feel bad for the counties, because he put a huge unfunded mandate on the counties, but thats his responsibility.

So Corman, your as spineless as your right wing fucking fascist party is, think about what you said " I feel bad for the counties, because he put a huge unfunded mandate on the counties, but thats his responsibility.
No asshole he did not put a unfunded mandate on the counties, your reverse logic does not work, this at your feet and your responsibilities all he is asking for is a back-up to the vote you know having a paper trail .......................

(32,626 posts)it's like leaving the bank safe open, and the doors unlocked. You can look at which states have the most vulnerable voting systems and predict where the problems will be.

The GOP is going to make it very hard for some people to vote in the states that they control. Shocking.

Mind you, these are "moderate" Republicans.
The elections here are watched closely, but the GOP runs an honest
election, I have to say.
In the GOP shithole States, an honest election is hard to come by.
