In Short-Staffed Jail, Epstein Was Left Alone for Hours; Guard Was Substitute

Source: New York Times

One of the two people guarding Jeffrey Epstein when he apparently hanged himself in a federal jail cell was not a full-fledged correctional officer, and neither guard had checked on Mr. Epstein for several hours before he was discovered, prison and law-enforcement officials said.

Those details emerged on Monday as Attorney General William P. Barr sharply criticized the management of the federal jail in Manhattan where Mr. Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing dozens of teenage girls, was found dead on Saturday morning.

“We are now learning of serious irregularities at this facility that are deeply concerning and demand a thorough investigation,” said Mr. Barr, who, as the country’s top law enforcement official, is responsible for federal prisons.

“We will get to the bottom of what happened,” he added. “There will be accountability.”

Blame the death on the guy who killed himself and substitute guard who was overworked and a jail that was understaffed

They can claim that the dead guy was so persuasive in convincing everyone including the Psychologist that he could be “trusted”....

Nothing to see here folks...

Should be calling for Barr's resignation at once, and start an over site investigation into Epstein's death, and his child trafficing case, or it will be corrupted even more with Barr , or the next trump yes man installed, or this will get worse. Barr is involved with all this , and he shouldn't have unrecused himself, and he should be held with others fully accountable. Cover up and conspiring, and obstruction are high crimes. trump knew what was going on i think. Barr and his father were involved with Epstein more than we know? I'd bet on it. This is going to backfire on trump , Barr and others involved . Our Justice department is now like Putin's in Russia. Was Epstein selling blackmail information to Putin and trump?

It really is mind boggling that he was put in a cell with materials to hang himself, after an apparent suicide attempt just two weeks prior. He was the most high profile prisoner in the world. He had potentially devastating testimony he could give regarding sone of the most powerful men in the world, including the sitting US President.

The guard is always “a substitute”. Jewelry heists, for example. I’ve seen too many “Ocenas 11” type movies.

So Epstein was found “unresponsive” and “apparently committed suicide” but the cameras weren’t running and he guards weren’t checking on him and according to Barr’s organization he was taken to an unnamed New York hospital and now a body is undergoing an autopsy.

How many original sources does our robust media have on this “apparent suicide”? And in fact, how many original sources do they have on the fact of his death?

including a link to the union representing the prison employees and links to their recent public statements about the staffing problems including this gem:

Safety Concerns Grow as Inmates Are Guarded by Teachers and Secretaries

The Council of Prison Locals C-33 is the most organized Council within the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Organization representing more than 30,000 bargaining unit employees in the United States, including its US Territory of Puerto Rico. The Council is made of workers in virtually all levels of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Did Donald Trump's cuts and hiring freezes help enable Epstein's suicide?

Just in case the plan is to have the buck land squarely on the shoulders of hard-working, blue collar union men and women, here's some background information for context. From a June 2018 NYT story.

It was Barr who refused to recuse himself from supervising Epstein's case. Any "accountability" must include Barr.

understaffed, prone to mistakes and errors because of lack of competent leadership and quality decision making.

red don and his backers are creating this level of dysfunction throughout OUR government, by design. Or, I should say, putting it on steroids, because pukes have been systematically starving and destroying the government for decades.

I don't buy the government story, call me a conspiracy theorist or whatever, but I just don't buy it. And the fact that Barr is now involved in the way he is involved, sort of sweeping things after the act, cleaning the stage after the actors are gone to make sure all is clean? I just don't buy it.

I am only hoping that those tapes Epstein kept will be used for a good cause, and that good cause is getting everyone involved, no matter who they are. Anyone who had sex with minors and participated in those orgies with those young girls deserves to be ousted. All the young women they destroyed, the alleged rape committed by the creature and then using her as he pleased under threats, if true, I want that to come out.
