Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR) gets booed loudly - blames gun violence on single mothers (VIDEO)

Source: sourcepolitics.com

29 Aug 2019

...........................................

"We have too many kids growing up in single parent households," Womack said in a discussion of gun violence.

The crowd immediately started booing and shouting at him.

"It's the guns!" one woman said.

"That is bull," said a man, rising to his feet.

"I am a single mother and that is so disrespectful," said another woman. "Shame on you."

Womack was undeterred and asserted that the problem with guns stems from the fact that "we took God" out of schools. Voters replied with shouts of "shame on you!"......................................................

Womack's God is so puny and inept that a bunch of 20th century humans can easily evict him from every public school in the land. And keep him evicted. I pity those poor kids who forgot to study for an exam. I mean, seriously, if you want to be all iron age, then have an iron age kind of god for heavens sake. You know, one that smites, throws lightning bolts and cavorts with everything that moves. All the things knuckle draggers seem to idolize.

I've asked a good many ministers about this. Never got a real answer.
Let's just say that if they did follow this teaching, there would be no churches or ministers. In my opinion, that's what that Jesus fellow was trying to get across to them, all along.

the problem of men deserting their children somehow gets blamed on the women. At least the women are stepping up to their responsibility and trying to care for the child, but the men who caused this are completely overlooked.

Millions of acres of land will be opened up to logging under the Trump administration.

Alaskans had better wake up to the damage Republicans are doing to them, and our planet.

Note: Just heard this report on Rachel Maddow show as I was reading the OP on Alaska's deplorable Rep. Steve Womack.

These assholes just 2 weeks ago abolished all the regulations the forest service has been operating under since the big environmental movement in the sixties. Clear cut sizes, road construction stipulations to protect from erosions and washouts, mudslides, stream side buffer management to protect fresh water, allow diesel and hydronic fluids spilled right into the water sourses. I could go on. They are telling them go in and high grade, leave undersiables, non beneficial species to wildlife, and create a wild fire catastrophe as we had in the 30's when the whole country was ablaze. Destroy our lungs of the planet as Brazil is doing. Just for Corp cash. And they will pay no taxes while the kill us all. MAGA. Guns God and Gays, and kill all the blacks and Browns. This shit must end fucking now, or we will.

My grandpa was raised by a single mother after his father left her while she was pregnant for another lady.

He hardly had any male influences in his life, as his mother, along with her sister and her mother, raised him.

He did shoot a gun, tho.

In Normandy, during the Normandy Invasion, as he stormed Utah Beach in World War II.

After the war, after retiring from the military shortly before Korea, he became a school teacher and spent the next 30 years teaching public school in Salt Lake City.

He married and had four girls.

He was a member of the NRA but, in the 90s, tore up his membership and turned in all his guns because he saw exactly what was happening in America.

Rep. Steve Womack and odd friend.

Rep. Steve Womack’s son sentenced to 9 years on gun and drug charges after plea agreement
BY David Ramsey ON April 18, 201910:00 am

James Womack, the 31-year-old son of U.S. Rep. Steve Womack, was sentenced to nine years in prison last week on felony drug and gun charges. Womack pleaded guilty last week in Benton County Circuit Court after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Womack was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a counterfeit substance with the purpose to deliver, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Steve Womack issued the following statement to KARK regarding the sentence of his son:

My family, like so many others across the nation, has experienced the devastation of a loved one’s addiction. Our son is accountable for his actions, and we respect the decision of the court. We continue to love him unconditionally and remain hopeful that he will find the recovery needed to set him on a new path forward.

In 2010, James Womack plea bargained a meth case and received what appeared to be special treatment, moving to the head of the line for a 105-day boot camp program that allowed him to avoid a 10-year sentence.
