Jeff Flake urges fellow Republicans to 'save your souls' by opposing Trump in 2020

Source: MarketWatch

Former Sen. Jeff Flake is urging his fellow Republicans not to back President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, saying in a Washington Post op-ed that for them, more than the White House is at stake:

** ‘Trust me when I say that you can go elsewhere for a job. But you cannot go elsewhere for a soul.’
** Jeff Flake

“I fear that, given the profound division in the country, an impeachment proceeding at such a toxic moment might actually benefit a president who thrives on chaos,” Flake writes.

Is this a signal of a party messaging act to soften senate republicans to do the right thing?

positive, "don't back DT" but ended with "fear". I think the "fear" part explains all the resignations and seeking "other opportunities". He and others in his party sound like cowards encouraging others to save them from themselves. Pure gibberish, Mr. Flake.

Elect Mark Kelly (D) 2020 Arizona Senate candidate!

Very clear Justice Kavanaugh was placed there for future damage control. The entire GOP knew how this story was gonna payout. The A-listers have been making moves behind the scenes to ensure the party stays alive/survives the removal of Mr. Trump.

Mr. Trump will not be removed until the GOP is assured it can survive the aftermath. Which looks like they feel they can now. One cant underestimate the signal Sen. McConnell sent today. He all but gave the green light removal.

It's clear too that Mr. Flake might have voted NO on Justice Kavanaugh, but President Bush Jr. gave Mr. Flake a ring and that changed his mind. Like with Sen. Collins. No doubt Jr and the entire GOP had real cause to pamper Justice Kavanaugh. He after all worked hand in-hand with John Yoo.

they can't give up.. The love of money,,,root of all evil is what they LOVE..

Blavatnik's political contributions soared and made a hard right turn as he pumped $6.35 million into GOP political action committees, with millions of dollars going to top Republican leaders including Sens. Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham.

In 2017, donations continued, with $41,000 going to both Republican and Democrat candidates, along with $1 million to McConnell's Senate Leadership Fund.

An infographic accompanying May's article notes the following:

Blavatnik contributed $800,000 to the Security is Strength PAC, associated with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., via Access Industries.

Blavatnik and oligarch Viktor Vekselberg met attending university in Russia years ago, and together they now own a 20.5% stake in Rusal, oligarch Oleg Deripaska's aluminum company. READ ON:
