Ex-Ukraine ambassador arrives to give testimony.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch appeared on Capitol Hill Friday morning for closed-door testimony in the House impeachment inquiry.

Yovanovitch is expected to discuss her dismissal as ambassador in May, when she was recalled to Washington, and her knowledge of the efforts by President Trump and his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to pressure the Ukrainian government to open a corruption investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.

Her appearance bucked expectations.

Good news. We need to have the truth come out!
Apparently, the committees did not know for sure she was coming, until she showed up.

Since I'm not seeing it on MSNBC it must mean that its behind closed doors, or she's due to testify after lunch.

The Hill is reporting it too.

The "live" aspect is how The Guardian posts its breaking news.

At most, they can only give her a pointless busy-work assignment, which they have already done. I'm betting that she will patiently wait out her time until the Trump criminals are swept away. Wouldn't it be great if the next Dem president gave her a plum assignment as a reward for having honor and integrity?

anti-corruption in Ukraine was getting in the way of Rudy's sleazebag associates. I have no doubt that Rudy could have gotten in Trump's ear to recall her.

If she was dismissed, isn't that the equivelant of being fired?

She was recalled and dismissed, not reassigned. Doesn't sound like trump had any way to stop her.
