Turkish president Erdogan 'threw Trump's Syria letter in bin'

Source: BBC

In the letter dated 9 October, and sent after US troops were pulled out of Syria, Mr Trump told Mr Erdogan: "Don't be a tough guy. Don't be a fool!"

Turkish presidential sources told BBC Turkish that the letter was "thoroughly rejected" by Mr Erdogan.

On the day the letter was received, Turkey launched a cross-border offensive against Kurdish-led forces.

<snip material about letter>

In response, Turkish presidential sources said: "President Erdogan received the letter, thoroughly rejected it and put it in the bin."

US troops are still in Syria. The BBC has been getting sloppier with its reporting, or maybe its editing. It probably meant "sent after US troops were ordered to retreat to new positions in Syria."

who apparently thought he could talk Erdogan down with his simplistic language. Talked about making a great "deal" twice like he was still buying and selling real estate or chastising a contestant on The Apprentice. I think Trump finally is beginning to realize there are consequences to his actions, consequences that can't be undone.

...absolutely has no filter nor anyone to bounce his ideas off of. Where's the family I wonder? Not even his teenage dream daughter? Notice how the entire family has been absent during the last few weeks as he digs himself a deeper hole over Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and all the State Department employee testimony. Dumb as they may be, they still smell blood in the water and are staying away.

Btw, a great letter that WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY along with that great pic of a stoic Nancy Pelosi standing up the Trump!

Whenever things start getting nasty, family members disappear. They only want to be around Trump when it serves their needs. No one really likes him, they just use him.

Love the photo of Nancy Pelosi!
