Pelosi Says Trump Committed Extortion and Bribery

Source: Politics USA

In a letter to her colleagues, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Trump had committed bribery and extortion.

Pelosi wrote:

Last week, the country was impressed by the valor and patriotism of the dedicated public servants and career diplomats, appointed by the President, in speaking truth to power. This week, we will hear from additional witnesses who will courageously expose the truth and defend our democracy.

The facts are uncontested: that the President abused his power for his own personal, political benefit, at the expense of our national security interests.

There are also some who say that no serious wrongdoing was committed, because the military assistance to Ukraine was eventually released. The fact is, the aid was only released after the whistleblower exposed the truth of the President’s extortion and bribery, and the House launched a formal investigation.

None of us comes to Congress to impeach a President, but rather to make progress for America’s working families. However, our first order of business is our oath to support and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. As such, we are custodians of the Constitution and, For The People, defenders of our democracy.

1. But how long was it between 'when it was supposed to be released' and ' was eventually released'.

And, more importantly, how many Ukraine's were killed and maimed by the Russian murders during this time caused by the lack of equipment US aid would have purchased?

... a corrupt pro Putin government and Russian/Ukrainian mobsters, changing the 2016 RNC platform
to make it more Putin friendly (fun fact Mitch McConnell was either in the room or close by when they
did that .... @ that point Moscow Mitch knew the fix was in), to President Obama putting sanctions on
Russia because of their invasion of the Ukraine and their shooting down an airliner over the Ukraine so
Putin then wanted to place his stooge aka Trump in power to lift those sanctions, and so on. This was so
much more than the one phone call in July. But if Nancy P's narrowing the focus to bribery and extortion
gets Trump removed I am all for it.

Enough with the 'quid pro quo', this is far more than two people doing 'favors' for each other. It was clearly bribery and extortion, words which even the least informed voters should be able to understand.
