Putin Approves Law Labeling Journalists 'Foreign Agents' In Russia

The Russian government now has the right to classify individual journalists, bloggers and even social media users as "foreign agents" with a new law signed by President Vladmir Putin on Monday.

A Russian law pertaining to media outlets receiving foreign funding was approved in 2017, in response to the U.S. Justice Department compelling the Russia-funded channel RT America to register as a foreign agent.

Russia's new law extends further, to include individual journalists and bloggers — or anyone who distributes content from outlets registered as foreign agents and receives funding from abroad.

"The new norms allow the Russian government to block websites of foreign agents or legal entities established by them in case the information published by foreign media outlets violates Russian regulations," Russian state media site TASS explains.

I think many do not understand how far Trump can push the country in to a full fledged Fascist state. Jailing journalists, shutting down MSM news networks, and papers, if he wins and gawd forbid the GOP wins both the House and Senate.

I think far from Trump's appeal fading, the secret Trump voter will be out in force next November. I think they feel, pumped up by the snowflake persecution complex on the right, that Trump barely got started. Because of all the leftist smears. And, even if they once again will swear they dislike his demeanor, they will also say they want to see what he can do with a full term in office. And unhampered by "witch hunters".
