Justin Amash Says He's Ready To Vote To Impeach Trump
Source: PoliticusUSA
Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI) told reporters that he is ready to vote for impeaching Trump on obstruction of justice, obstruction of Congress, and abuse of power.
Rep. Amash was one of the few Republicans with the courage to speak out against Trump, and his courage promptly made him enemy number one in the GOP. Amash left the Republican Party and became an Independent. The great irony is that if Amash would have stayed in the GOP through impeachment, he would have been potentially the only Republican in the House to vote for impeaching Trump, and would have destroyed the narrative that impeachment is a partisan endeavor.

When the House votes to impeach Trump, it wont just be Democrats voting for impeachment. Rep. Justin Amash will vote for impeaching this president.

(26,280 posts)Best strategy since its an election year might be to drag it out in the House until October and then pass it and move it to the Senate forcing the Republicans to shift resources they might have used in the election to defending any vote not to convict him despite overwhelming evidence that he is guilty.
Hell it might hurt them enough that we win a clear majority back in the Senate and if we win the White House as well as keep the House itself we can then have our people launch a massive investigation into the Russians and how many of our governments elected officials did they compromise.
If that scenario plays out then it might explain the number of Republicans that decided to retire and it would not surprise me if they might be getting ready to make a mad dash for a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the US.
