Former White House physician Ronny Jackson to run for Congress

Former White House physician and retired Navy Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson will run for a seat in the House of Representatives in Texas, formally filing papers just hours before a state deadline.

Jackson will run as a Republican for the seat currently held by retiring Rep. Mac Thornberry (R), the top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee. The rural Texas Panhandle district is heavily Republican; President Trump scored almost 80 percent of the vote there in 2016.

Jackson, who has never run for public office before, will face almost a dozen other Republicans who have already entered the race.

The Texas Tribune first reported Jackson’s decision to formally file. He had been rumored to be interested in the seat for about a month.

If you are a member of the gop, ANYTHING goes, is even celebrated. I imagine ol' Dave is still consorting with prostitutes, with no concerns about ever being brought up on any charges now that his wife is in power at the courts.

He certainly fits the criteria for the downward spiraling GOP standards, (if you want to call them such). I think that the caliber of candidates like this is doing us a tremendous favor. There is no hole too low to scrape the mold and maggots from. They could run feces and people might not even notice.

that maybe these candidates are unable to find employment elsewhere, so running for office is a sure fire way to get money. If they ARE elected, great. Easy paycheck, great benefits, no accountability, and little actual work. Look at the losers in the gop right now, at the impeachment hearings. Not a sharp brain among them. I think everyone of them is one drunken episode away from hitting the headlines, again, with no punishment from their constituents. Gym Jordan protects pedophiles and still gets elected. (Thanks to gerrymandering) How many DUI's does Goetz have so far, and still counting? Screwy Louie Gohmert needs a mental exam, along with his orange hero tRump. I can not think of a single member of the gop who appears SANE or even MATURE. They carry on like drunken frat boys. It is all a joke to them, not serious business at all. Moscow Mitch and his vile wife are busy doing business with the Russian oligarchs and Chinese drug dealers. No time for actual WORK for the constituents. What a bunch of total losers the gop consists of. No wonder their hero is the biggest crook to hit the campaign trail.
