GOP chairmen seek interview with Obama officials as part of Biden-Ukraine probe

Source: The Hill

Three Senate GOP chairmen are requesting interviews with five Obama administration officials as part of their investigation into the Bidens and Ukraine.

Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) — who chair the Judiciary, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and Finance committees, respectively — are asking for a response to their request by Dec. 23.

“These interview requests continue the chairmen’s oversight efforts ... related to potential conflicts of interest and political influence by Ukrainian elements, including the natural gas firm Burisma, which employed Hunter Biden as a board member while his father was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s handling of Ukraine,” according to a release from the three senators.

They’re asking for staff-level interviews with Antony Blinken, the former deputy Secretary of State; Catherine Novelli, a former under Secretary of State; and Victoria Nuland, the former assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

They also requested interviews with former senior VP Biden adviser on international energy affairs, Amos Hochstein, and with the former chief of staff to Secretary of State John Kerry, David Wade.

They want the replies by next Monday, so this looks like a Christmas present for the Criminal-in-Chief.

from the GOP pertaining to the Impeachment inquiry. They provided nothing, and they told all their people not to provide any info to the Dems. So F*ck the GOP. Knowing them, they are not up to any good. My guess is that they are looking for some way to muddy up Obama's reputation so as to make Trump feel better. They've been mentioning Obama's name all week, trying to sully his reputation. Obama owes them nothing, and I hope that the Democratic Congress won't give them any info as well.

"go piss up a rope" unless he sits to pee? He has made it abundantly clear how he feels about the (D)'s and how he will not even listen to the evidence for impeachment. How does he have time for this nonsense? Why do people vote for this clown? He does nothing for his constituents. He is desperately trying to make points with his big daddy Donald.

Makes any maneuvering to get former Obama officials to testify simply a suggestion to be ignored.

Simple as that.

should ignore the request. Many subpoenas were ignored by trumps people. Just say no because you ignored Democrats subpoenas. Why should they agree to interviews. If I was subpoenaed and ignored it, I would be arrested. Trumps idiots got away with it which I will never understand.
