Matt Bevin defends pardon of convicted child rapist in radio interview
Source: Louisville Courier-Journal
Former Gov. Matt Bevin on Thursday defended his controversial last-minute pardon of a man convicted of raping a 9-year-old, saying there was no physical evidence of her abuse.

"There was zero evidence," Bevin said.
Bevin also revealed publicly for the first time the victim's relationship to Schoettle and said that the victim's sister was present during the alleged assaults. The sister has denied the assaults took place, Bevin said.
"Both their hymens were intact. This is perhaps more specific than people would want, but trust me. If you have been repeatedly sexually violated as a small child by an adult, there are going to be repercussions of that physically and medically," Bevin said.

That's called the shadow and his is extremely hideous. Judging by his monomaniacal image of himself, that shadow has to be ten-times uglier than the Picture of Dorian Gray and in HD and 3D. Even H.R. Giger doesn't come close to depicting anything like that.

He also freed Dayton Jones, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy at a party; the boy sustained severe internal injuries. And he pardoned Paul Donel Hurt, who had been convicted of sexually abusing his 6-year-old stepdaughter.
In Hurts case, Bevin cited the fact that in 2015, Hurts stepdaughter, whose name has not been made public, recanted her allegations. However, several judges declined to set aside Hurts conviction, the Courier-Journal reported, in part because of the role of Jefferson Circuit Judge Stephen Mershon in the recantation. Mershon presided over Hurts original conviction in 2001, but later began corresponding with Hurt and also contacted the stepdaughter.
In 2016, one judge said that Mershon had altered the stepdaughters memory and used judicial coercion and intimidation to get her to recant. After Hurts pardon, Mershon was the one to pick him up from prison.
