Woman charged with hate crime amid NYC anti-Semitic attacks

Source: AP

NEW YORK (AP) — A woman accused of slapping three people in one of a series of apparently anti-Semitic attacks reported throughout New York during Hanukkah was charged Saturday with attempted assault as a hate crime, court records show.

Tiffany Harris, 30, was released without bail after her arraignment on the attempted assault charge and misdemeanor and lower-level charges , according to the records.

Her lawyer, Iris Ying, declined to comment, and the New York Post reported that Harris rebuffed questions as she left a Brooklyn court.

Police said Harris slapped three women, ages 22 to 31, in the face and head after encountering them on a corner in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights area. The victims suffered minor pain, police said.

I looked up the suspects name, turns out she's more than likely NOT a Trump supporter.

Yup. She's a black woman.

I know it's the NY Post, but they do have a picture of her.

So do we still blame Trump for this?

Or do we blame these radical black groups like Nation of Islam and Hebrew Israelites?

When the Trump admin handles white nationalists with kid gloves, it's sending a message to radicals left to right, black to white, racial to eco-terrorist, and any other ideology that you can think of that maybe the government doesn't actually have the power to fight them.

The Trump admin is selling our government's legitimacy out to make the alt-right and white nationalists feel welcome and now it's open season on that legitimacy and the rights and welfare of our country's citizens to every extremist Tom, Dick, and Harry.

Anti-semites have existed long before Trump.

This particular POS has less to do with Trump and more to do with the generic Jewish haters that are literally everywhere and those of us who are Jewish have had to deal with in our lives. Before Trump.

...anti-Semitism is only worthy of discussion/concern, if it can be tied to the alt-right, white nationalists, or the POS in the WH; if not, then ties have to be made to the aforementioned for concern to be warranted. There are those more concerned about attacking the right, then attacking anti-Semitism.

It's fun to pretend otherwise, but doing so implies a singular cause.

So while "do we blame X or Y?" may get applause, it doesn't get points for rational thought (fallacy of the complex question) unless or until you can wholly predicate these symptoms on one and only one causal factor.

I lay this hate on him for allowing people to feel ok with acting on their hate. Although orange, he's a bright green light.
