Snow will cause 'severe travel disruptions' in parts of the country this week, officials say

By Christina Maxouris,

(CNN)Sundays are for staying in -- especially this week, as a winter storm sweeps across parts of the US.

Heavy snow and possible blizzard conditions will stretch from northern Nebraska to northern Minnesota Sunday, the National Weather Service said.

Minnesota is already grappling with slippery roads -- so slippery, school buses were sliding off roads.

The Upper Midwest and Northern Plains are also expecting another foot of snow, CNN meteorologist Derek Van Dam said.

When I was under age 50, cold weather in Chicago did not bother me,
but now in my 70's, I do not like cold weather.

typical weather for this time of year and we aren't suffering as much as people in other places. In comparison, my middle son who lives in Upper Michigan told me that they've already had over 100 inches of snow there. That's typical for them. Since I used to live there too you can understand why I now live here!
