BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Air strikes targeting Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces umbrella grouping of Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad have killed six people and critically wounded three, an Iraqi army source said late on Friday.

Somebody had better stop this guy!

Maybe Speaker Pelosi had better drop the articles on him in the Senate.

7. But I thought Russia and Iran are aligned?

So why would Russia like it if the Iran-backed group is attacked? Basic question that is making all of this difficult to absorb.

10. Certainly doesn't hurt the United States either

We are one of if not the most oil producing countries in the world.

11. It will hurt every single American

That uses fuel oil or propane to heat their homes.

Or use gasoline to get to work.

Oil is an international commodity - the price is set worldwide.

Is Trump going to buy your gas or fuel oil?

The view from Mommy's basement (or St. Petersburg) must be awesome - lol

2. Two attacks with dramatic implications

To ME stability.

Was Congress, at least the Gang of 8, notified of this attack first?

This is an incredibly disconcerting turn of events that shows a incredible disregard for the legislative branch of government.

3. I think Trump's plan for Iraq is complete withdrawal, including destroying the embassy

He's targeting former allies. We won't have any left (if we actually do at this point).

The only options will be go large or go home. He'll go home and call it a victory.

4. Frankly, that works for me.

It's been a cluster fuck and none of our damned business since August of 1990.

30 years.

12. Trump won't destroy the embassy.

He'll just give it to the Russians like he did our airfield in Syria.

https://www.citizenfreepress.com/breaking/breaking-trump-just-did-it-again-another-terrorist-convoy-carrying-high-value-targets-just-obliterated-in-iraq/

Shibl al-Zaydi, leader of the PMU has been confirmed dead after the US conducted another air strike targeting his convoy in Taji. Two vehicles hit. Story is developing.

6 killed in airstrike north of Baghdad targeting convoy carrying Shia militia members – report

A convoy carrying members of the Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an umbrella group of Iran-backed militias, was hit by an airstrike while traveling in Baghdad, media report.

The three-car convoy was struck in the northern outskirts of the Iraqi capital in the district of al-Taji, according to an Iraqi military source cited by Reuters. Six militiamen were reported killed in the attack, with three others critically injured. It remains unclear who carried out the strike.

The six killed in the strike have yet to be named, but early reports suggesting they hit two paramilitary commanders – Shibl al-Zaydi, secretary general of the Kataib al-Imam militia, as well as Qais al-Khazali, leader of Asaib Ahl al-Haq – were refuted by the PMF in a statement.
