(9,670 posts)He was selling one of his Atlanta condos and my office handled the escrow. He came in with a small entourage of attorneys and was wearing a jogging suit. Years of plastic surgery had altered his facial features, and it took a few moments to really identify him. But then he smiled - and kept smiling - and spoke with us, and that beautiful Kenny Rogers voice was unmistakeable. For a few minutes we all got to hang out with him, and he was a kind, gentle soul with heart and humor. I wasn't his biggest fan, but that day I became one.
Rest in Peace, Kenny.
