Virginia governor issues stay-at-home order
Source: The Hill
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) issued a stay-at-home order Monday as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
Northam said people should only leave their homes to obtain food, supplies or medical care, or for exercise. All gatherings of more than 10 people are banned.
I want to be clear: Do not go out unless you need to go out. This is very different than wanting to go out, he said.
Northam said the beaches and other recreational areas were literally packed this weekend and that people were putting themselves and others at risk.

(7,153 posts)All colleges and universities have to stop in-person teaching and not have gatherings of more than 10 people.
((Take THAT, Liberty University! Take THAT, fraternities and others still resident, and alums!))
Non-teaching functions such as research, maintenance, etc can continue if gathering limits/social distancing can be observed.
Public beaches are closed except for exercise and fishing (social distancing implied).
All reservations in private campground of less than 14 days are cancelled.
((It could be that some people are either living in those campgrounds or self-quarantining there.))
Otherwise, business as it has been for the past week. It's NOT Hogan's near-nuclear option; for example, child care (with limits) can still operate, unlike Hogan shutting down all such except special programs for essential workers.
