Trump attacks Schumer for impeachment in letter about coronavirus crisis

Source: Axios

President Trump accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of being "missing in action" during the coronavirus crisis, writing in a scathing letter on Thursday that Schumer's focus on the "ridiculous impeachment hoax" resulted in New York being ill-prepared for the pandemic.

Why it matters: It's a blistering response to Schumer urging Trump to assign a senior military officer to enforce the Defense Production Act to produce more medical supplies.

The big picture: The president formally authorized the use of the Defense Production Act to ramp up domestic ventilator production on Thursday, and said he had appointed White House trade adviser Peter Navarro to enforce the act last week.

Read the actual letter, it's piss-poor behavior for any public servant, much less an elected servant.

Here's a direct link to read the letter, in case you don't see the link in the Axios article:

excerpt:

“If you spent less time on your ridiculous impeachment hoax, which went haplessly on forever and ended up going nowhere (except increasing my poll numbers), and instead focused on helping the people of New York, then New York would not have been so completely unprepared for the ‘invisible enemy’,” Trump wrote.

Wow. Just wow.

but Trump has worn it out. There aren't adequate words for Trump and what he says and does. There just aren't.

Most 4th graders have a richer vocabulary. You are absolutely correct, the other 170,000+ words in a language known for its rich vocabulary can barely scratch the surface when it comes to capturing the "essence" of Donald Trump. Sort of reminds me of how someone once attempted to portray obscenity as "you can't define it, but you'll know it when you see it". Trump is somewhat similar in that respect, with the notable exception of being more obscene than obscenity itself.

There were a butt ton of ,s and "s in there.

I count four ", and"s in there

#2 who needs leverage when someone is doing you a favor? I guess that's him punching down.

#3 the first two sentences look like they are written backwards. The last sentence has three commas in it.

I'm not really a grammar expert. I've learn to chop up sentences can I can try to get to much in one line but I know what,s wrong when I see it.

That he could be so composed is amazing. I would have been tearing my hair out which I guess is why I'm not a politician...

If I was a senator and he sent me a letter like that, I'd have gone to the White House and punched that fucker dead in the face. (Granted, that'd be if the Secret Service hadn't tackled me or shot me by that point.)

I seriously hate that man with the heat of a nova and I will fucking dance in the street when he finally croaks from all the quarter pounders he's scarfed down. I'm so goddamn sick of him I wake up every day to see if he finally fucking died.
