Authorities in Mexico are asking all foreign guests to leave the country as soon as possible.

Canadians currently in Mexico received a letter from the Canadian government warning them to return home.

“Mexican authorities are now requesting that foreign guests return to their home country as soon as possible.”

The Mexican Secretariats of Health and Tourism issued a joint communiqué today related to the measures for the Mexican hotel industry during the Covid-19 emergency. These apply to both Mexican and foreign guests. Some hotels will be allowed to offer restricted accommodation services to foreign tourists for humanitarian reasons only. Note that mobility of guests will be limited to their room.

We have our green cards, so we're not guests or tourists. The sun is shining, the temperature is warm but not hot, and we have a light breeze almost all the time, so good air circulation. The city and state have issued shelter-in-place orders and folks are taking this very seriously. We really can't ask for better right now.

Too many Trump supporting Russian Oligarchs hanging out there to avoid the cold in their native Russia.

Hell, Putin is pissed off that he can't come to Southern Florida, maybe even stay at Mar-A-Lago, to have a ring side seat to watch is accomplishments in person......Trump could fly down and they could discuss what else Putin would like him to do in destroying the United States and Democracy.

We've spent a lot of happy times in Mexico, and with other decisions could easily have been among those who'd planned to continue sheltering in what they considered was their place.
