Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on Monday signed an executive order suspending all in-person voting for Tuesday's primary and moved the date of the election to June 9 amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

The order also convenes the state legislature for a special session on Tuesday to deal with the issue.

“Today, I signed an executive order suspending in-person voting for tomorrow’s election,” Evers said in a statement. “Frankly, there’s no good answer to this problem — I wish it were easy.”

“As municipalities are consolidating polling locations, and absent legislative or court action, I cannot in good conscience stand by and do nothing. showed up. Most are elderly women to manage the polls or absentee registrations for the counties.
I have worked with several. who are afraid of the virus and working in person was not an option for them.

Milwaukee would only have 5 spots open tomorrow. It was a mess.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court quickly ruled 4-2 along party lines Monday afternoon to block Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ executive order to postpone Tuesday’s election until June amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The majority conservative court rejected Evers’ argument that it was his constitutional duty to provide safety for Wisconsinites and thus delay in-person voting at polling places across the state.

They want to rush the election to keep old Guv Walker’s buddy judge Smelly Kelly on the bench! That means more to them than the health and safety of the citizens. Same old GOP BS 😠
