There are some dangers here. We know Florida is never voting for Dems nor is North Carolina. I am really worried about PA and Wisconsin. Even Michigan is scary. I don't get what is going on in PA.

(1,242 posts)Having said that, keep working and get everyone we can out to vote. We can't take our feet off the pedal. This needs to be an epic defeat for him.

(1,242 posts)their polling seems to lean a little more than reasonably to the right. Look at 538's presidential election polling and their A+ and A polls, like ABC New's polls. He is going down, and remember that the landslide the LBJ carried in 1964 did not help him even compete in the 1968 primaries - he had to quit. This administration is going down. Keep the faith and organize voting.

Yes, lockdowns are not popular in PA. Perhaps there is a political motive going on with Wolf? Give the people what they want and they will remember which Party did it? BTW, I live in the Poconos now.

(43,044 posts)even those under Democratic control. So they have to do something. But the governors did what they had to do, based on the rapid growth of the pandemic, and they did slow the curve, but we will have round 2 unless it actually has mutated as one Italian doctor reported this week.
And give Wolf points for steering between the 2 extremes. We now know that retail stores can stay open if we have distancing and masks. We didn't know that in early April. Now that model can be applied to other establishments, and to workplaces, some of which are going remote. So we've gotten a lot for time well spent. We may squeak by a bit better than we would have.

(666 posts)Very different than all recent polling, by pollsters with higher ratings...3900 people in 6 states, 600+ people in each state...Biden's lead is getting too "big" in other polls, any bigger they wont be able to reign in for a horserace...so its horserace time! He isnt basically tied in TX, but down in his home state of PA, especially when all the other polls show it very differently
PS: Just Fox News Poll: Fox News Poll: Biden ahead in Arizona (+4), Kelly trouncing McSally in Senate race (+13), Biden +2 OH, Biden +9 in WI.

(8,557 posts)Perhaps you should pay closer attention to your facts. We currently have a Dem governor and went for Obama in 08 by a healthy margin. Over the course of the last 30 years we've had Governors from both parties, state legislatures controlled by both parties, and federal representatives in the house and senate from both parties. We are what is known as a purple state. Right now it could go either way in NC, IMO. It is too far out to be sure, but things do look more hopeful than I would have thought six months ago.

(609 posts)I was worried because it is a CNBC poll and thought it would lean left. If so, a close election is worrisome. Of course, I just want to win in the end.
