Netanyahu and Romney share ideology – and donors

Though Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly denies having any preference as to who wins the upcoming U.S. presidential election, it's clear he is rooting for Republican Mitt Romney. The two see eye to eye on the Middle East, and Romney in the White House would make life easier for Netanyahu, assuming he is reelected next year.

But the similarities don't end with ideology: The two also have many donors in common. In fact, a Haaretz investigation found that 19 of Netanyahu's wealthiest American donors, each of whom gave thousands of dollars to his campaign to defeat Moshe Feiglin in January's Likud party leadership primary, have also given to Romney, the Republican Party, and/or other Republican candidates.

Surprisingly, Netanyahu's donor list doesn't include a single Democrat - a fact that indicates just how far removed he is from those American Jews who lean Democratic.

Altogether, Netanyahu received NIS 1,249,022 from 46 people for his primary campaign, an average of NIS 26,574 per person. By law, each donor's name and address must be reported to the state comptroller, and it turns out that 37 of these donors were American.

Roger Hertog, described as "a prominent American Jewish philanthropist"

Charles Diker, described in the article only as the owner of an investment house. (That would be Diker Management.) But Diker has also donated to Democrats including Kirsten Gillibrand and Tom Udall.

Lee Samson, described in the article as having founded and running a healthcare company. That would be Windsor Healthcare.

Nira Abramowitz, wife of Kenneth Abramowitz (NGN Capital).

The Falic family of Florida (owns Duty Free Americas). Some of the family members have also donated to Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Michael Olshan, identified as the owner of a private investment firm. (That would be O-CAP Management.)

And several others are also identified.

The article also mentions Sheldon Adelson, Netanyahu's best-known American supporter. But Adelson didn't give any money directly to Netanyahu's campaign, though he finances "the pro-Netanyahu daily Israel Hayom," providing indirect support.

...That is distributed for free at a huge loss for the purpose of propping up Netenyahu. Likewise, Adelson is propping up Romney at home. If Romney wins, we should just give Adelson the oath of office for both countries or, at least, appoint him Minister of Joint Defense.

Check the wickipedias for Boston Consulting Group, where they both served, although I'm not sure if it was simultaneously. Boston Consulting Group was founded by Bill Bain and others who founded Bain Capital. Others listed on the Boston Consulting Group list include Jeff Immelt, CEO of GE and on Obama's jobs & competitiveness czar. "Since taking over, GE's stock has dropped nearly 60%. General Electric has closed more than 31 plants since 2008 and let go of more than 19,000 employees, but Immelt still took home $15.2 million in 2011." Wickipedia quote). But I'm probably just confusing coincidence for conspiracy
