YouTube Boots White Supremacist Richard Spencer, Far-Right Personality Stefan Molyneux for Spewing H

The crackdown also includes white nationalist group American Renaissance, ex-Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke, and NPI/Radix, an organization founded by Spencer.

YouTube banned several prominent far-right figures from its platform on Monday, including white nationalist leader Richard Spencer and right-wing internet personality Stefan Molyneux.

The bans also include two accounts associated with white nationalist group American Renaissance, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke, and NPI/Radix, an organization founded by Spencer. The crackdown comes after YouTube pushed other white nationalists off its platform earlier this year.

The banned accounts repeatedly broke YouTube rules against alleging that certain groups are inherently worse than others, according to YouTube.

“We have strict policies prohibiting hate speech on YouTube, and terminate any channel that repeatedly or egregiously violates those policies,” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement. “After updating our guidelines to better address supremacist content, we saw a 5x spike in video removals and have terminated over 25,000 channels for violating our hate speech policies.”

3. Now if they could just find a formula to dispose of the quacks, shysters, liars, and hucksters

as opposed to those experienced enough to provide meaningful content and knowledge to viewers.

Also, 1/3 of the stuff is regurgitated from up to 6 years ago with a modern leader. They do this with a fair rights disclaimer to make clicks and ad revenue.

Did you know perhaps the most famous auto mechanic on YouTube, who has given very good content it must be said, has been said by some to make $55k per month in ad revenue from the site?

Twitter is becoming like an educated person's YouTube. Junk content won't pass on Twitter because you can select who you follow and garbage is debunked quickly.

A Thinking Person's YouTube is sorely needed IMO.

4. Wonder how long those accounts have been around spewing that crap?

From the OP article, there certainly were many of accounts like that -

“We have strict policies prohibiting hate speech on YouTube, and terminate any channel that repeatedly or egregiously violates those policies,” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement. “After updating our guidelines to better address supremacist content, we saw a 5x spike in video removals and have terminated over 25,000 channels for violating our hate speech policies.”

(those 25,000 were probably the obvious low-hanging fruit ones)

And if protestors hadn't been out in the streets (now having gone on daily for just over a month straight, with the majority of them peopled prominently with enlightened whites), would they have done the same sort of racist channel removal?

8. What hell is this crap?

“...right-wing internet personality Stefan Molyneux.”

C’mon. “Internet personality”? That’s a thing? That’s not what they are.
