Trump doubles down on well-wishes for alleged sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell

Source: Politico

President Donald Trump again extended well-wishes to accused sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, apparently expressing sympathy for Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime companion.

“Her friend, or boyfriend, was either killed or committed suicide in jail. She’s now in jail,” Trump told Axios’ Jonathan Swan in an interview that aired Monday night on HBO.

“Yeah, I wish her well,” he said. “I’d wish you well. I’d wish a lot of people well. Good luck. Let them prove somebody was guilty.”

The president’s latest remarks on Maxwell come after he drew significant criticism two weeks ago for his initial reaction to the news of her arrest.

as in he wishes people well before they are found mysteriously dead in their jail cell. Maxwell didn't kill herself...yet

Not sure that's going to do much good, there must be a lot of actual evidence

"Let them prove somebody was guilty.”

He must think that everybody has been bought off and will not cooperate for fear of retaliation. Not very American.

I'm probably guilty of jumping to conclusions here, but that statement speaks volumes. I think President NitWit unwittingly showed a card or three.

Her boyfriend was murdered or died in jail. She's in jail right now. I just wish her well. Would be too bad if something happened to her too, so she should probably be very careful.

Trump is a moron but he has no filter and if he knows that she has the goods on him he can't actually be tactical about this - he just says whatever pops in his mind.

that gives him plausible deniability. But it would definitely be better for Donald, and a number of other very powerful and rich men, if this person had some 'misfortune.'

It makes no sense to me why he would say a word about this, especially with his history. The only logical conclusion is he is dangling a pardon if she keeps her mouth shut. I predict it will be his final act as “President”. A fitting capstone to his shameful legacy.

Epstein died in jail. She's in jail...

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one single little bit to hear she'd mysteriously died in custody.
