Kanye West will appear on Colorado ballots in November
Source: The Hill
Rapper Kanye West successfully earned a spot on the Colorado ballot for Novembers election, the Colorado Secretary of States Office said Thursday.
Wests name will appear on the Centennial States ballot, Secretary of States Office spokesperson Betsy Hart confirmed, in the rappers latest win in his efforts to earn a spot on several states' ballots.
Colorado requires presidential candidates to pay a $1,000 fee, submit notarized statements and receive support from nine electors who are registered to vote in the state, The Denver Post reported.
At least one Republican operative assisted West in his filing, which was completed Wednesday. His list of electors includes at least three registered Republicans, four unaffiliated voters and two registered Democrats, all from the Denver metro area, according to the newspaper.

(35,356 posts)Biden is still not wildly popular with young voters. So, give them an alternative and that may make the election closer.

(37,748 posts)Additionally, your conclusion applies to Trump as well... is there a relevant difference between his siphoned votes versus Biden's.?

(2,458 posts)was his favorite superhero (OH YEAH!???) Kanye also said (Oct.2018) that Chester made him feel like Superman! Did Kanye have a red costume on or was I just having a nightmare? Oh~& there was Sept. 2009 when Kanye embarrassed himself @ the VMA Awards. Poor Taylor Swift! She is such a beautiful, talented, class act compared to Kanye & Chester the Molester...

(7,733 posts)Its easier now because instead if skewing other totals, the votes can be added to KW total. Instead of taking from Biden and added to Trump, they go to KW.

(93,851 posts)...since there's no hard evidence that it happened in 2016, and no Democratic candidate, campaign manager or Party leader claims it did, and the same voting machine were used during the Democratic wave in 2018.

(42,671 posts)This is buffoonery. Spoilers should not be allowed. Figure .... John Andersen 1980, Ross Perot 1992, Nader 2000, and didn't we lose some to a nobody last time too? American voters deserve the truth. Make grown up choices with real grown up consequences.

(5,791 posts)The Hill article neglects to mention that West's company got millions from the PPP program. This is how he repays red don.

(1,831 posts)Clearly we need to make it harder to get on the ballot here in Colorado; this is pretty nuts. Pat Paulsen would be a much better president than this nut ... and he's been dead for 23 years.

(14,846 posts)I'll be unable to tolerate four more years of Trump, ultimately the result of the stupidest voters in this country. Not just his voters, but the Jill Stein and (potentially) the Kanye West voters as well.
I'll have to leave the country and hope that a country like Canada, or wherever my destination, maintains at least a decent public education system.
