3. Oh wow!

Or rally do think we can see some good things happen in November. Every race seems at least a little bit viable right now. Let's keep up the good work!

8. Not to be "names", but she looks

more like a "Brandine" than a "Cindy."

Would be wonderful if Espy and Jones were both to win in MS.

14. Mandy Pepperidge from Animal House.

It's an impressive poll though. The nutjob is ahead by only one point.

Now it's up to the unbelievable 19% to decide this one. Since MS is perennially 50th in everything but racism, you'd think an incumbent would be toast.

11. Espy came a lot closer than expected in the special election

a few years back - and, afterwards, he said that he thought he did a good job of building up infrastructure and GOTV operations for a future candidate for senate.

7. No idea

Not sure what's happening here. In 2018 everything kept moving our way right into election day. Voters waking up?

Steve Schmidt assures us we are in the right to reject Trump. Moral compass finding true north?

Democratic party finally learning target marketing as well as voter outreach? The ground game marches on?

Money buys field personnel who are making their move?

No matter, if we can compete there we can hold our own anywhere.

13. Here's a better article

https://mississippitoday.org/2020/09/21/new-poll-democrat-mike-espy-within-1-of-gop-sen-cindy-hyde-smith/

Says Hyde-Smith released her campaign's internal polling that has her ahead by more.

Says Trump up 50-40 over Biden. Biden ahead 46-44 in FL and Trump only up 48-44 in Alabama(!).

Pollster did the main survey on energy in states along the Gulf Coast, but also asked about the upcoming elections.

16. Wow.

This seems really big.

Side note: in the mid 80s I had a summer job working for a political consulting firm in DC which mostly did fundraising from PACs for several congressional and senate races. One of our candidates was Mike Espy who would be the first African American elected to Congress, from MS, since reconstruction. I liked him then, and I like him now.

What a beautiful topping to the election it would be if Espy is elected to the Senate!
