Fauci warns that Covid-19 infection rates are too high heading into winter

Source: CNN

(CNN)The number of coronavirus cases in the United States surpassed 8 million on Friday as health officials from coast to coast scramble to contain the rising rate of infections.

...snip...

Unlike previous rises, this time it appears that no region is safe. The Northeast, which has remained relatively stable since the spring, is seeing a rise in cases as is the Pacific Northwest. The increases come as the numbers of new cases in the Midwest hasn't slowed.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, warned that infection rates are far too high heading into the end of the year. Other experts say is setting the country up for a very difficult winter.

6. With things 100% open in most places. This is going to be horrific...

I know I am preaching to the choir, but until you have been in that ICU completely isolated, no family contact as you fight for life and try to breathe... People just don't know...

4. Spiking in Oregon. So I am back to not applying for jobs in my area. Seems like it will be for a

time again. Started applying in June, then we got a spike. So I stopped applying until late Aug. Started apply again and now we have another spike.. Being old and looking for a job not in the front line of covid is hard.

10. My sister, her kids, and my brother's kid were at the Mall of America Friday

My brother's girlfriend tested positive. Central MN, where they live, is the new hotspot. They're all Trump anti-maskers.

They were pissy I wouldn't bring the family out to the Mall to shop and eat dinner together.
