'Logistical Nightmare': PA Trump Supporters Left Stranded Waiting for Buses After President's Rally

Source: Newsweek

President Donald Trump's supporters waited roughly two hours for shuttle buses to transport them back to their cars on Saturday night, following an evening campaign rally that took place at an airport in Butler, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh.

The rally marked Trump's penultimate campaign outing in Pennsylvania on Saturday—the third of four engagements, as the president pushes for a win in what is considered one of this election season's most important battleground states—and second campaign event to see significant transportation issues over the past week.

Ryan Nobles, a Washington correspondent at CNN who covered the Butler rally, called its aftermath a "massive logistical nightmare," as thousands of attendees lingered at the outdoor site in 41-degree weather. The circumstances were reminiscent of those that played out following Trump's reelection event in Omaha, Nebraska, last Tuesday, when hundreds of attendees braced freezing temperatures while waiting for shuttles to take them to distant parking lots where they'd left their vehicles.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper during the broadcast anchor's evening news program, Nobles said many supporters made the trek back to their vehicles on foot after organized transportation failed to arrive. The reporter and fellow CNN crew members were among those who decided to walk, although their designated parking area was closer to the airport than others. Through the windshield of his car, Nobles photographed a group of individuals walking in the road several miles away from where the rally took place.

Oops, Trump did it again and left his supporters stuck.

Several reports the campaign credit cards were declined, no money.

That would explain the campaign/trump silence about the abandon issues.

In Omaha the GOP blamed it on road construction. Well, that same road construction was there when the buses had no problem getting people to the rally on time so you can eliminate that lie. Like Butler, the buses simply didn't show up to take people back to their cars so people walked back. Another similarity, the road between the parking lot and airport do not have sidewalks, forcing people to walk in a traffic lane. Very dangerous.

I mean, if the Trump people can't run campaign event smoothly how can you expect them to run a country smoothly? You can't.

cultists there. On my way out to shop, I saw a handmade sign saying "Trump rally" with an arrow. I knew Trump wasn't coming here and wondered what it was about. Now I think it was a gathering spot for locals who wanted to see Trump in Butler. Guessing they rode up in a bus and probably had to wait for it since it's a long walk from here to Butler.

It seems like the crowd is an indicator of local support when in reality it contains a fair number of people who just go to nearby rallies all the time.

and then driving them from said rally back to their cars an hour or two later a “logistical nightmare” then you are probably in over your head. What’s that’s saying about incompetent to organize a 2 car funeral procession?

They will all be left out in the cold dark night eventually because tRump cares nothing for them. The way he's handled the pandemic proves he doesn't care who dies as long as he gets elected.

I give exactly *zero* shits about Trump supporters.

Why?

Same reason I wouldn't get choked up over hearing about an incident at a KKK rally where Klansmen were injured/killed.

These "people" deserve anything that happens to them. The more"intelligent" ones are at least proto-fascist, and the others are literal "useful idiots".

Fuck 'em.

BTW: Not "trolling", just to head off that potential misunderstanding.

They support a regime which is operating concentration camps - including one specifically for children.

Anyone who can still stomach anything about Trump this late in the game is beneath contempt, as far as I am concerned.

that Trump doesn't give 1% of a shit about them. It's all for his benefit, to massage his rancid ego. He honestly doesn't care if they live or die, as is evidenced by tightly packing them together when there's a killer virus everywhere, just waiting for them. He then throws them away, like a used condom, when he's finished fucking them over and squeezing as much adoration from their dim minds as possible.

Tools. They're simple tools, not to mention extraordinary fools.
