PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an alleged plot to attack the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on Thursday night.
Action News has learned that police got a tip about a group, possibly a family, driving up from Virginia in a Hummer to unleash an attack at the Convention Center where votes are being counted in Philadelphia.
Action News was there as a man was taken into custody. It's unclear how or if the man is connected with the investigation.
Police say they recovered a weapon and believe they recovered the Hummer they received a tip about.

(3,522 posts)I think I read this on one of those Harper Magazine lists. #1 vehicle in customer dissatisfaction was the Hummer. #1 reason for the dissatisfaction? Poor gas mileage!!! 😂 The stupid, it burns!!!

Philadelphia police detained two men late Thursday night (local time) after receiving a tip that a Hummer vehicle from Virginia with two or three people armed with firearms was headed to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where ballot counting is under way for the US presidential election.
Police had reportedly been investigating an alleged plot to attack the Pennsylvania Convention Centre in Philadelphia, according to local media.
Just after 10:20pm Eastern time, police reported they had received information about a 2003 grey or silver Hummer with Virginia tags that was occupied by several people armed with AR-15 rifles.
Vote counting continues in Philadelphia, at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre.

On the back window of the Hummer were decals associated with the pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy movement, including a large "Q" and "#WWG1WGA," which stands for "where we go one we go all."

(17,156 posts)he talked of a coup? Was he projecting again what he has up his sleeve? Right now he's like a rabid cornered
animal, you never know what they'll do. Since trumpers love guns I encourage everyone to take down
your Biden signs and bumper stickers, they have served their purpose. You could be taking a target off
your back if things get real ugly because of what donnie tells them to do.

(21,346 posts)tell them to do anything. They are already riled up, and have been for months due to Trump's language leading up to the election. True to form, he will not directly tell them what to do. He will use inflammatory language that he knows they will respond to.
I warned about this possibility months ago. I was called an alarmist and was told that Trump supporters were cowards and all talk but no action. I would rather deal with being called an alarmist than with Maga fanatics doing more than just talk.
