Video shows retired Navy SEAL boasting of 'breaching the Capitol'
Source: ABC News
A retired U.S. Navy SEAL is facing questions from the FBI after boasting in a Facebook video about "breaching the Capitol" last Wednesday after traveling to Washington to join a rally for President Donald Trump, an assault he said in the video that he hoped would ignite a "positive revolution."
The video shows Adam Newbold, 45, from Lisbon, Ohio, who the Navy confirmed is a retired reserve SEAL special warfare operator, in a car on his return home from Washington, telling his Facebook followers that he was "proud" of the assault on the U.S. Capitol building earlier that day. Newbold, in the video, seeks to defend the actions of those who broke into the Capitol by falsely insisting that the only destruction occurred as the rioters tried to enter the building, and also incorrectly says that nothing was vandalized. "There was destruction, breaching the Capitol, our building, our house. And, um, to get in you had to destroy doors and windows to get in," Newbold says in the video. The video has been deleted from Facebook, but a copy of it was obtained by ABC News. Read more: https://abcnews.go.com/US/video-shows-retired-navy-seal-boasting-breaching-capitol/story?id=75206495

5. In the video, he says
“I hope they get the message. I’d hate to see this escalate more,”
And then, from the article "I am cooperating with the FBI," Newbold told ABC News in a 45-minute interview in which he expressed remorse for his actions and said of the attack on the Capitol that "it was all taken too far." (My emphasis)
Speaking in an anguished tone far different from his post-riot video, Newbold professed that he "felt rage" that day, but that he accepts that Joe Biden will be the next commander-in-chief. "I would like to express to you just a cry for clemency, as you understand that my life now has been absolutely turned upside-down," Newbold told ABC News. "I am not a terrorist. I am not a traitor." |

he made the choice to follow trump and be a traitor to our country. He chose to attempt to overthrow our incoming President, our lawmaker's and Constitution. HE turned his seditious upside down. Recall, court-martial, strip of all rank and commendation. As a domestic terrorist send him to either Gitmo or the darkest deepest hole that can be found for him and all convicted of this insurrection.

You are an insurrectionist and that’s pretty bad. Drop your trident into an envelope, write “I have dishonored this and no longer deserve to wear it” on a sheet of paper, and mail it to the commander of Naval Special Warfare Command.

28. "that my life now has been absolutely turned upside-down"...sounds like he is blaming someone
else...this is so common on these people....there was a video of a guy who found out at the airport that he was on the "no fly list" yelling to the people from the airline that "they were trying to destroy his life"...it is amazing how the criminal mind works...it is always someone else's fault, most don't seem to grasp the consequences of their actions.
"I would like to express to you just a cry for clemency"...NO! no clemency for you, I wonder what you would have done if you had found Pelosi or any one else. |

Last edited Wed Jan 13, 2021, 09:34 AM - Edit history (1) They were all proud and boasting. Now the same people, after seeing the revulsion of the nation, are backtracking and making sideways apologies for their behavior as to why they acted like enemy soldiers. Their lawyers will be arguing what good boys that the really were, just led astray by others. Give them a long time to work out their stories, behind bar.
An honest person would say it like they say it online, "Hell yes, I broke into the Capitol, I fought police, I wanted to kill Democrat politicians and start a civil war." Damn all of these people to hell. (but until then, LOCK THEM UP.) |

For those of us who were not subject to DT's hypno-grift-spell he was so obviously a complete low-life who never even attempted to do his job as a president is sworn to do. He never even did what he promised. He was completely missing-in-action save some photo ops with a sharpie and all the rallies he held in front of Air Force One. The rest of the time we heard leaks he was raging or watching Fox and Friends, or of course golfing. What's to hold a person under his influence?

20. Many SEALs are not right in the head.
I knew one who served on a sub during the Cold War, he'd go out and do missions in those DSRVs they attach to subs. He told a story how they'd be in the Artic Circle, they'd back the sub into Soviet waters so it was half in and half out. Then light up sonar as loud as possible, and actually fuck around with the baffles so the ass of the sub was wagging up and down at the Soviets, then they'd sprint off into the ice and go dark and watch the Soviets hunt them.
He told another story of a ship mate who on leave would bring a piece of glass and pay hookers to shit on the glass so he could watch. He talked about this stuff like it was normal and proper. |

From his words, he didn't actually enter the capitol building, was merely in the crowd outside. Yeah, he straddled a cop motorcycle, but that's not really a crime.
He seemed to participate more in "stolen valor", claiming to be a revolutionary without participating in revolution. ![]() |

46. I thought Navy SEALS were supposed to be intelligent
This guy goes on line to brag about participating in the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11! Of course he doesn’t claim -- at least not one excerpt included in this post -- that he was one of the ones who broke into the Capitol Building. He may have been smart enough to stay outside the perimeter established by the police.
Oops. Just viewed the link. Guy is going to do hard time, convicted by his own words. The FBI handled the first interview well! And the second one, coming up, should provide even more damaging information -- not just about this chud but about the terrorist attack itself. It’s not surprising how many of these seditionists, when caught and arrested, cry and claim they had no idea things would get so bad, that they were just there to stand with their brother and sister “patriots”, and got sorta caught up in things. They all knew that they had entered a secure zone, that to do so they had to trash a police line, and that the mob surged up the stairs screaming and yelling its intention to do bodily harm to the people in the building, the Senators, Representatives, and their staffs. They are all, in a word, guilty of at least one federal crime, trespassing, and potentially of a pile of other crimes, including felony murder. Sorry, Navy SEAL dude. You’re in it so deep you’ll have gray hair and rotten teeth by the time you get out of prison. And I hope your family thought to move all of your finances to your wife’s account because the Government is going to want it to help pay for fines and repairs to the building. |
