MARCH 31, 2021 UPDATED 8:35 PM PT

Four people, including a child, were killed Wednesday evening and a fifth person was injured in a mass shooting at an Orange office complex.

It marks the third mass shooting in the United States in two weeks, coming after incidents at an Atlanta spa that killed eight people, including six Asian women, and at a Boulder, Colo. supermarket that killed 10.

Few details were immediately available about the motive for this shooting or details about the victims.

Lt. Jennifer Amat, a spokeswoman for the Orange Police Department, said officers received a call about 5:30 p.m. of shots fired and responded to a business at 202 W. Lincoln Avenue in Orange. The address is a beige, two-story office complex that contains a number of small businesses.

That you cannot trust the institutions of society to provide justice, only your personal firearm can.

That if you feel injured or slighted, you should use your gun as the great equalizer.

That other people cannot be trusted, and a gun is necessary to prevent others from abusing you.

Civilization may collapse tomorrow, and only your guns will prevent the hordes from stealing your moldy MREs.

support our current out-of-control gun ownership.

Are those people NEVER the recipients of such gun violence?

If guns were not so prevalent, angry people would have time to calm down but because they’re available everywhere at any time, anger can quickly turn into murder. Another murder last week was a road rage incident where a driver shot several times into the passenger side of another car whose driver had gotten too close to him, killing the passenger—so killing the innocent person who wasn’t even driving the other car.

The level of anger and constant victimization that the right-wing media airs up constantly is at least partially to blame for so many mass shootings. These shooters might have some mental issues, but few, if any, of them would have been found to be mentally incompetent prior to their killings. I would say that anyone who kills has some mental issues, but even a police officer who murdered George Floyd on national television has not been accused of being mentally ill.

While some shooters have been on the left, I can think of only one and that was the guy who shot up the Congressional ballgame where Steve Scalise was injured. So why isn’t the media asking why so many shooters are consumers of right-wing hate media and conspiracy theories?

So the story sinks. there were tons of posts and as soon as the shooter is revealed the story simply dies with no response. If the shooter had fit a certain profile (or the victims) we would have had plenty of commentaries.

Weird white Incel with weird beard shooting woman of a different race is an example of a good profile. Apparent domestic violence from a person who does not easily fit the victimizer narrative less so.

people are commenting on it in this thread so it isn't being ignored. It was covered on MSNBC today as well as CNN. The identity of the shooter is known but the motive hasn't been made public as yet so at this point there isn't much more to discuss until further details are known, imo.

He locked his victims in and the police out.

And the little boy died in his mother's arms.

She is in critical condition.
