Man who carried Confederate flag to Capitol during Jan. 6 riot indicted

Source: CNBC

Kevin Seefried, who was photographed carrying a Confederate flag in the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riots in Washington, has been indicted by a grand jury on five counts related to obstruction, entering restricted property and disorderly conduct.

Seefried's son, Hunter Seefried, was also indicted. The younger Seefried faces the same five counts as his father in addition to three charges related to destruction of government property and violence on Capitol grounds.

The grand jury document was filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday and made public on Thursday. The two men were arrested in January after turning themselves in to authorities in Wilmington, Del. Both men are residents of Delaware.

Kevin and Hunter Seefried are among the hundreds of individuals who have been charged with crimes related to the attack on the Capitol, which was carried out largely by supporters of former President Donald Trump who rejected his electoral defeat to President Joe Biden.

NEVER had there been a 'Confederate' flag in OUR Capitol Building - and this A-hole walks about proudly displaying it?

GIVE ME A BREAK!

Lock him up in a YUGE room where they can put all of the discarded Confederate statues - he'll have all the company he deserves!
I'm TIRED of this "Who's AMERICAN - who's a PATRIOT" bullshit.

This guy isn't - and deserves to lose ALL of the privileges that a true AMERICAN is given.

Still not thrilled with the seriousness of the charges, though. Is no one going to pay for the murder?

I've been watching the arrests and indictments growing over the past 2 months, with pleasure.

I understand this all takes time, and many intricate details are involved when they pursue and file charges. Some traitors are taking longer to indict, and I've been waiting for this guy and a few others. The confederate flag in the US Capitol is an abomination and I think they wanted everything in order with the charges against him (and his son), to make sure the case is tight so he will be convicted. I think that's true for everyone they're arresting for January 6th activities.

Many arrests and indictments have been made in pairs or groups, for people who traveled and participated together. Many went with family members, many with friends, co-workers, groups affiliated with militia, etc. They are identified, investigated, questioned, arrested, interrogated, investigated further for corroborating details with others in their group, interrogated again, then more of the same until the indictments are brought forward.

Glad they've got a solid case against this guy.
