The American Greatness Fund, a nonprofit advocacy group aligned with the ex-president, is set to unveil the formation of the Election Integrity Alliance on Wednesday, which it says will be focused on ending election fraud and strengthening election safeguards by providing information, resources, endorsements of allies efforts, and solutions to secure free and fair elections.
Ballot fraud has become an animating issue for Trump supporters, since the former president has baselessly claimed the 2020 election was tainted by it. Several of the alliances board members, including former Trump attorney Jenna Ellis, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik became prominent voices in the former presidents failed effort to fight the election outcome.
The Election Integrity Alliances National Board is comprised of individuals who have fought for election integrity at great personal risk and who are champions for free and fair elections, the organization said in a statement.

(35,037 posts)turnout so IF somebody were to really commit election fraud, then that fraud would quickly be exposed, can't wait.
It will be great to see "ideas" about stoping "election fraud" that just AREN'T things making it harder for poor people and minorities to vote. That's what they'll do here, right? Right?

(589 posts)that 30% of the population will believe anything they throw at them...even if it changes from day to day. And that 30% is the most fully armed segment of the population and have traditionally been the type most likely to use those arms against the threats they are being indoctrinated to perceive.

BTW Voter fraud does not happen now election fraud is real and it is done via the machines, gerrymandering,
removal of legitimate voters from voter rolls, closing down polls and limiting early voting, and misinformation.

These guys recycle the same scam over and over again.

(18,964 posts)I thought it meant that the GOP was finally coming out as an organization PROMOTING election fraud...and maybe teaching others HOW TO PERFORM ELECTION FRAUD...
Problem is, I would find that totally believable....

(38,526 posts)Since long before then, but even the ultra-conservative think tank ("think" is not the right word, but you get my drift) says that voter fraud has NEVER decided an election (they started keeping track after 2000).
Of course we all know this.
I'd like to say they're wasting their money, but they'll end up wasting tax-paying money by putting forth laws that states will pass and that tax-dollars will end up being used to defend. And in the meantime, millions of voters will be disenfranchised.

(107,711 posts)Allies of Donald Trump have set up a group called the Election Integrity Alliancewith a board made up mostly of the former president's aidesas part of their campaign to delegitimize the electoral process that led to Joe Biden's victory in 2020.
The alliance was launched on Wednesday by the American Greatness Fund, a Trump-aligned non-profit organization, Politico reported.
On its website, the American Greatness Fund said the alliance would act as a "centralized hub" to "unite groups and efforts across the nation focused on combating election fraud" and "provide resources to state legislators and the public on challenges to free and fair elections."
The website statement continued: "Free and fair elections are the foundation of a civil government that has power only by consent of the governed. Only through election integrity can our American government operate according to its limited and legitimate role in civil society."

Guess the upside is if it's filled with Trump lackeys it's likely to not be very effective.
