Woman who accused former Idaho legislator of rape has her identity revealed in conservative media

(CNN)A legislative intern whose rape allegation against an Idaho state representative led to an investigation that resulted in his resignation last week was publicly named by a conservative media outlet, despite her desire to remain anonymous.

"I have worked with survivors for 14 years, and this process was the most harmful I have ever seen in my life," the intern's attorney, Anne Hightower with the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, told CNN on Wednesday.

An ethics investigation against Republican state representative Aaron von Ehlinger began after the 19-year-old intern for another lawmaker accused von Ehlinger of engaging in nonconsensual sexual acts with her after taking her to dinner. The intern -- who asks to be identified as "Jane Doe" -- made a report to the Boise Police Department saying she was raped, according to an investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

CNN does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault without their consent.

Idaho Country Free Press reported on April 30 that the "Jane Doe" victim was testifying at the trial behind a curtain. When she went out into the hallway during a break she was accosted by people including one court reporter who took photos and doxxed her online. Also a state representative Priscilla Giddings (R) named her in social media.

This news article doesn't name the victim but it does give more details on how she was accosted and photographed. What a shit-show!

Von Ehlinger resigned the moment it was clear the hammer was coming. But the harassment of his victim hasn't gone away. And Giddings isn't the only one who needs to be kicked out of office. Via KTLA:

Several far-right blogs, one of von Ehlinger’s former attorneys and White Bird Republican Rep. Priscilla Giddings have all publicly released the teen’s identity, making disparaging remarks about her and the allegations. Giddings scoffed and laughed at times during the hearing, including when the intern’s attorneys suggested that the bullying the intern had experienced would make other women less willing to report sexual assault.

A Grand Juror here in Colorado was sent to Jail years ago for disclosing information of what went on in a case that happened in the GrandJury. The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News ran with the information and did front page news on what the AG, Gale Norton had done which was incredibly horrific, especially since her actions were exactly opposite of what the Grand Jury had voted unanimously to do to Rockwell re: Rocky Flats.

Her actions resulted in her immediately being appointed to Bush's cabinet as director of the EPA, thanking her for what a nightmare she had done to the people of Golden/DenverMetro to contend with in the future....and letting Rockwell completely skip off into the sunset...

He was a conscientious whistleblower to the Travesty of what the Attorney General was doing to Colorado, it's citizens our land, and countless generations into the future............

He was truly a wonderfully good guy.......

Because Grand Jurors are not supposed to say anything about the Grand Jury proceedings, the Repub Legistlature sent him to prison....
