The top trade negotiators from China and the United States have held their first telephone call since Joe Biden entered the White House, and stressed the importance of improving their bilateral trade ties.

A brief statement on Thursday by the Chinese commerce ministry said Vice-Premier Liu He and US Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tai had a “frank and constructive” exchange.

1. Encouraging move.....realists talking to each other.

Neither the US nor the Chinese want to see a regional war....China has to reconsider her moves in the SC Sea and SE Asia. We need to get serious with our alliances in this region - Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia.....end present a united front on Chinese expansionism....as they are going to end up destroying their centers of commercialism. We, the USA, needs to bring semiconductor mfg back. It's a national security issue.
