Interior Department says over 30 staffers have died from COVID-19

The Interior Department on Friday said that more than 30 staff members have died from the coronavirus.

By the numbers: Melissa Schwartz, Interior communications director, said that more than 4,000 staffers have reported contracting the disease.

In a video released Wednesday, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland said that 34 staffers have died. But Schwartz clarified that the video was taken earlier in the week and that since then, one more person has passed.

No, we shouldn't do that. What did Kansas ever do to deserve that fate?

all of us who are fully vaccinated, especially Democrats, and move us OUT of here first. Many of us are older, a hell of a lot poorer, and are "stuck" here trying to do the right thing to protect ourselves, our families, and even strangers... while trying hard not to die, ourselves. I'm sure there are more like me who would -love- to have help moving from this red state to a blue state full of like-minded individuals. Lack of money, strength of body, and strong family connections put us at a great disadvantage. I know I'm trying to stay safe not only for myself, but for my kid and grandkids, and my 84 year old mother (all of whom are completely vaccinated, by choice).
