Negative emotions such as anger just keep us in the endless cycle of suffering. Westerners don't have a tradition of looking directly at the mind and letting go of negative thoughts and feelings. All actions have consequences. Maybe when she's in jail, she'll do some serious contemplation on what got her there. But I doubt it.
