Biden sending medical teams to 6 states to help hospitals overwhelmed by COVID-19

Source: USA Today

WASHINGTON – The federal government is sending military medical teams to six states – New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Michigan and New Mexico – to help hospitals overburdened by COVID-19, President Joe Biden announced Thursday..

Biden announced the deployments when outlining new steps the administration is taking to address a surge in infections driven by the omicron variant.

When you need something done, call in the military," Biden said.

His remarks come as hospitalizations for COVID-19 are setting records. Some hospitals are delaying elective surgeries as states are deploying National Guard members to health care facilities.

No safe, remote learning

And of course the school teams are still playing

Half my granddaughters class is out sick, I asked her what they did today. “Nothing “,she said,”teacher doesn’t want to go too far ahead with so many out”

So basically I am sending her to school to risk all our lives to go over grade school math when she is supposed to be getting ready for high school.

Uh, I hate to differ with President Biden, but as much as the military CAN help, that is not a statement I like to read.

This isn't something he did on a whim. It isn't for show. No matter what the media says about Omicron burning out in a month, just keep observing. Maybe we'll get lucky. But, this doesn't look good.

Consider RSA's experience. Cet. par. doesn't apply, but it's a strong suggestion.
