Report: 100 Tea Party Leaders To Endorse Gingrich
100 Tea Party leaders will endorse Newt Gingrich and form Tea Partiers With Newt, reports the Daily Caller.

The way I figure it, every scrap of encouragement that comes Newt's way will empower him to continue his attacks on Willard--and attacks of the sort he's making play directly into the growing 1% meme, which will ultimately be toxic to ANY Republican candidate in November.
And Newt won't be the nominee. Not a prayer. It will either be Willard or some dark horse (Christie?) emerging from a brokered convention.
The main point is that Newt is helping to deepen the shift of the national dialog from deficits to issues of inequality and sleazy financial behavior in high places.
Willard personifies the unholy alliance between the Corporations and the Republicans, and Newt's attacks are likely to generalize beyond Romney to Republican policies in general. Newt is pissing in the Republican well, and they're all going to have to drink out of it in the fall.

(5,066 posts)The Longer this goes on the better.Santurum declared winniner In Iowa.Perry dropping out and endorsing Gingrich. And this. While I
suspect Romney eventully will win the nomination the longer the clown show goes on the better for our side.Plus It weakens
Romney. If by miracle Gingrich could win that would be even better.
Now I have reason to watch Current's coverage saturday. Now that Keith Olberman will he anchoring their election coverage I will
watch them Instead of MSNBC on primary nights.

(22,434 posts)Is it because he's one of the 1%? (So were the Bushies.)
Is it because he's flip-flopped and supported "liberal" legislation in the past?
Is it because he's a Mormon?
Is it all of the above, equally?
Anyone?

(45,274 posts)I dunno about the divorce business. Reagan was divorced & so was Nancy, both of whom were suspected of little flings here & there. (Nancy & Sinatra?)
