Democratic Senator Van Hollen says he has left hospital after minor stroke

Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen said on Sunday that he had returned home after a minor stroke a week ago landed him in the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

"It's great to be back home after a long week. I'm grateful for the generous outpouring of support from everyone and the dedicated care I received from the team at GW," Van Hollen said in a post on Twitter.

Van Hollen, 63, was admitted to the hospital after experiencing lightheadedness and acute neck pain last Sunday, he said in a statement.

An angiogram indicated that the stroke formed a small venous tear at the back of his head, he said, adding that he was informed there will be no long-term effects.

My mom's stroke struck when she was alone at night. By the time we discovered her in her bed the following afternoon, the damage was irreversible.

was back in the early 2000’s my Mom had something similar and she became forgetful. It went downhill from there. Her forgetfulness continued to become worse. She is in a nursing home now and has dementia.

Von Hollen, Fetterman, and another one, I forget who. All in the last week or so.

It seems suspicious.

in the past few days two people drove into power poles which knocked the power out in a large rural area for most of two days. It was one power pole whacked, fixed, power back on for one day. Then the next one whacked and again no power for almost a second day.

I was convinced that it was some sort of thing- someone or some organization paying people to drive into power poles, a form of domestic terrorism? But now that I am getting off the pain killers I wonder if that sort of thinking might have been induced by the meds.

Now this. Could be. But it also could be that Democrats see how close our Democracy is to being annihilated. And the stress is causing strokes?
