Sen. McConnell in Northern Ky., speaks for first time since Roe V. Wade overturned

Source: WKRC - Cincinnati

FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) - Kentucky senator and minority leader Mitch McConnell spoke publicly for the first time since the Supreme Court's decision on Friday.

At the Rotary Club of Florence, he spoke about the court's controversial decision on abortion.

"What the court did, in effect, was return this very controversial issue to the people and their representatives so that it could be decided by the democratic process," said McConnell.

He noted that neither side has had the 60 votes needed to pass anything significant in Congress. This will push it back to the states.

... he's happy. He probably feels his place in Heaven is more secure. I'm sure Jesus has many sins to consider, when deciding his eternal fate. Mitch must think this moves him farther from Hell.
