Sarah Huckabee Sanders Reveals Cancer Diagnosis

Sarah Huckabee Sanders revealed Friday that she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer but that surgery to remove it had been successful.

Doctors were able to spot the cancer after a check-up and a biopsy on “an area of concern” in her neck earlier this month, she said on social media.

“Today, I underwent a successful surgery to remove my thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and by the grace of God I am now cancer-free,” she wrote, going on to thank her medical providers.

It's not an aggressive cancer, does not result in metastasis with anywhere near the frequency of other cancers.

It is a fairly curable cancer, except in unusual cases.

There is no practical way to determine if anyone is ever "cancer free". A low probability of recurrence. The odds of recurrence are heavily in their favor. Take your pick. Neither of which means "cancer free."

She's young, so this type of cancer is pretty wimpy and she has less than a one percent chance from dying from it in the next 20 years, even if it did spread to the lymph nodes but not to remote parts of the body. But, that's standard treatment, both to prevent problems with multicentric cancers, as well as the fact that they're just going to radiate and destroy the rest of her thyroid to get all the cancer.

Doctors decommissioned the thyroid gland with radioactive iodine (..this was early 1980s..).

I've been on daily synthroid medication (man-made thyroid hormone) for over 40 years now.

So, not very serious to decommission the thyroid gland.

She would love for a woman to DIE from an ectopic pregnancy, and for a little girl to be forced to carry her Father's baby i he raped and impregnated her because she's an evil, rotten, pathologically lying racist asshole and so is her father. Too bad that pig will be governor of Arkansas.
