Bill Barr says Trump will 'burn the whole house down' and destroy the GOP if he doesn't win the 2024

Former Attorney Bill Barr said that Donald Trump would seek to destroy the Republican Party if defeated in his bid to become its 2024 presidential nominee.

In an op-ed in The New York Post published on Tuesday, Barr addressed Trump's announcement last week that he was seeking the Republican Party candidacy for the White House in 2024.

He said that if Trump loses the nomination, it could tear the GOP apart.

"Unless the rest of the party goes along with him, he will burn the whole house down by leading 'his people' out of the GOP," Barr said, referring to the former president's hardline supporters in the party.

Seems to me the GOP is doing a good job of burning their own house down, even without Trump.
Bill Barr is a fine example, attacking school teachers, acting like he had nothing to do with subverting the Mueller Report, or serving in Trump's cabinet.
Then there is Herschel, and Lindsey and Jim Jordan and the list goes on and on.

so it might as well be TFG in a fit of pique who destroys that irreparably corrupt party.

If anybody opposes him, he's going to try to incite violence at the convention, which is why I think 2924 is the year for the national convention to erupt into a Donnybrook.

The corporate Republicans destroyed their party when they decided not to have a brokered convention and they put Trump in charge. The Bushes, Cheneys, Romney, etc. knew this in 2015, that is one reason that they refused to support Trump, even after he was their candidate. For a democracy to function there have to be at least two viable parties which are dedicated to democracy. Authoritarians are not dedicated to democracy. Unless and until the Republicans can develop a viable party dedicated to democracy, democracy in the US will be one election, or coup, away from termination.

ie..... You'd BETTER nominate, and vote for Trump, or the "evil" Democrats will win because we will be in disarray.

We are thinking like they are us. They are not. They are all cowards like Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell, who maybe deep down want to see their party move on from the choas of Trump, but they'll never abandon Trump unless its very very very very clear that he's a distant second. And that won't happen until they actually nominate their final choice candidate. But make no bones about it, they would rather win with Trump, than take a chance that if he is rejected, he will stir up a damaging rebellion in the party.
