Biden's Nuclear Waste Guru Out of a Job After Alleged Luggage Theft

A Biden Administration nuclear waste official, Sam Brinton, is out of a job after being accused of stealing airport luggage in two separate incidents.

“Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee,” a Department of Energy spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Monday evening. “By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters.”

Brinton, who attracted attention as one of the federal government's first non-binary officials, was first charged with a felony last month for nabbing a woman’s suitcase from the baggage carousel at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in September. They initially denied taking the bag—which was reportedly worth more than $2,500—but later said they had grabbed it by mistake.

Brinton checked the luggage on at least two other flights following the alleged theft, including a Sept. 18 flight back to Washington D.C. and an Oct. 9 trip to Europe, according to The Star Tribune.

Just to note, that's like THREE levels down from "guru".

Sam is being focused on though not just because they stole & got caught but because they were the first nonbinary person & activist appointed to such a position. Shame on them, for not recognizing that when accepting a position at that level and with that much media attention, like it or not they are taking on a mantle to represent other LGBTQ+ people too. As an activist, they should know this. Because next time, it's now more likely someone more conventional, more assimilationist and more binary will be chosen when the chance comes up. And, you know...shame on them for STEALING.

regarding his story about conversion therapy. and yes, shame on Sam for continuing his shady stuff once he got the role. it's been awful for the transgender/ gender fluid community... Fox news and the RW media having been having a field day.
