Rand Paul tweets NY DA 'should be put in jail'
Source: The Hill
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Tuesday suggested that the Manhattan district attorney should be put in jail amid anticipation that former President Trump could be hit with an indictment today as prosecutors probe payments made to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during Trumps 2016 presidential campaign.
A Trump indictment would be a disgusting abuse of power. The DA should be put in jail, Paul tweeted.
Trump over the weekend suggested hed be arrested on Tuesday in connection with the alleged hush-money payments. Hes knocked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and the district attorneys office and called on his supporters to protest, which sparked worries about how his base could respond. Barricades were seen being unloaded outside the Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday.
The district attorneys office has declined to comment on Trumps claims that the arrest could come as soon as this week.
Paul and other Trump supporters have put down the investigation and possible indictment as politically motivated.
It just feels like a politically charged prosecution here, Trumps former Vice President Mike Pence argued.

Mods: It's hard to say what equates to 4 paragraphs, since the article has so many one sentence statements.
Apologies if you think this is excessive.

so if Rand has proof that can get TFG off then I bet Trump's lawyers would love to see it and if
not he can STFU.

(3,386 posts)jackasses? If you only look at Lindsey Grahams case you have to conclude there was some compromising involved. Graham told truths about how unfit and crazy trump is, then trump takes him to play 18 holes of golf, the next day Graham becomes a lap dog for trump, and still is. What scared Graham so much that he is so afraid? He knows what trash trump is, but what keeps him awake at night? Same with Jordan, and many others.
Rand Paul is just an ass, so it could be that he is not compromised, that he is just being him.

They go from opposing him to kissing his orange ass. It doesn't make sense unless he's got something to hold over them. If they would have remained firm, we probably wouldn't be in the mess we're in today.

The Russians have always been better at collecting "personal" information, then the CIA!
I would bet that Putin has provided Trump with certain information on those members of the US Congress, who appear to be Trump's biggest defenders.

The above reporting paragraphs basically says it a ll...
Paul, one of the few Republicans to defend Trumps widely panned performance at a July 16 news conference with Putin in Helsinki, said he had traveled to Moscow to encourage diplomacy.
I was honored to deliver a letter from President Trump to President Vladimir Putins administration. The letter emphasized the importance of further engagement in various areas including countering terrorism, enhancing legislative dialogue and resuming cultural exchanges, Paul wrote in a Twitter post.
The White House said the Republican president had provided Paul with a letter of introduction for his trip at the senators request.
So Paul your all in when a someone tries to strong arm someone else..,...just like what your doing with this BS that your spouting....your a disgrace to be in office.....
