GOP congressman accidentally admits President Obama could legally mint the trillion dollar coin

Source: http://www.dailykos.com/

"Walden, it turns out, has written legislation that would bar the executive branch from minting coins of any denomination. That would include the much-talked-about trillion dollar coin, which would allow the U.S. government to continue to meet its obligation in the event Congress refuses to raise the debt limit. And, as Joe Weisenthal points out, by introducing legislation to ban such a maneuver, Walden is implicitly acknowledging that under current law, the trillion dollar coin is a perfectly legal and workable way to get around the debt limit."

I love this. It may not be legal, the courts will have to weigh in, but it is no more ludicrous then Republican proposals.

OMG,and I would be the one to hand it to a cashier while getting a coffee, while holding my slipping backpack listening to two freinds at the same time on while holding three drawing pencils, and an eraser and wonder where the fuck I put it and panic...4 days later...running around frantic looking under couch cushions and the cats for it.

I feel sure the GOP in the know realizes to take a stand on the debt ceiling will only work if it is allowed. They can introduce any bill and pass it but it will not make it Constitutional.
