First Cases Of Antibiotic-Resistant Gonorrhea Found in North America

Source: Business Insider

"Incurable" gonorrhea has been found in North American humans for the first time, according to Canadian scientists.

The research, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found that nine of 133 patients with gonorrhea at a Toronto clinic still had the disease after a round of cephalosporins, the last effective oral antibiotic for treatment.

"Its arrival is deeply troubling," Dr. Robert D. Kirkcaldy of the Division of STD Prevention of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a press release. "Clinicians now face the emergence of cephalosporin-resistant N. gonorrhoeae without any well-studied, effective backup treatment options."

Gonorrhea, the world's second most common sexually transmitted disease, infects an estimated 700,000 Americans each year. Common symptoms include itching, painful urination, abdominal pain, genital discharge and infertility in women.

Sex negative culture.

In truth no one has any idea who their partner might be having sex with. For it to work, they've got to use them with old partners too, and do it consistently.

to also ask their consenting partners to use a condom, as well. Both parties/all three or four or whatever need to request/demand it. With all partners whose health status is potentially compromised.

You want an honest answer? There is is. Cheap condoms eliminate the majority of genital stimulation from sex, and even the good ones eliminate a lot of it. There are NO condoms that are as enjoyable as a good, old-fashioned barebacking. The entire point of having sex is to experience physical enjoyment and sexual satisfaction. Condoms reduce both of those, and are therefore something that a lot of people don't like using.

There are a million GOOD AND LOGICAL reasons to use condoms, but when the clothes come off, they all get weighed against that simple fact.

Lack of availability during "the moment" is probably another factor. Sex with a new partner is rarely planned, and most men don't walk around with condoms in their pockets. If two ready and willing partners find each other and the hormones are raging, very few people will walk away from sex simply because they don't have a condom on them.

Most people, at some point in their lives, are willing to exchange safety for pleasure. All of them make the assumption, and take the gamble, that they won't be the unlucky soul that gets killed or injured that day. Unprotected sex is just another manifestation of that same thing. People choose to sacrifice safety to increase their enjoyment of sex.

It makes no more sense than speeding, and yet it's just as prevalent. We aren't always logical creatures.

On March 1, 2012, Breitbart collapsed while walking in Brentwood. He was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he later died.[32] He was 43 years old. An autopsy by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office showed that he had cardiomegaly and died of heart failure.[33] The toxicology report showed "No prescription or illicit drugs were detected. The blood alcohol was .04%. No significant trauma was present and foul play is not suspected."[33] Personal friend of Breitbart, Bill Whittle, had said that Breitbart had a "serious heart attack" just months before his death.[34]

His fellow senator from Idaho, Sen. Crapo, was picked up for DWI because he kept a bottle of liquor in his apartment to "relieve stress." Perhaps that's why Sen. Vitter trolled for professionals...to "relieve stress."

He said basically:

Used to be, go out with the wrong girl, you end up needing a shot.

Then you go out with the wrong girl, and it stays with you forever! (Herpes)

Now you go out with the wrong girl and you die!

What next, go out with the wrong girl, next day you explode?

The study was only done in Toronto, but I suspect nearby urban centers in North America may have the bug present as well.

If it's just appearing in North America now, it's a fair bet that by the end of the 2010s, it'll be in every major city in North America.
