Satanists organize rally in support of Florida governor Rick Scott

Florida Gov. Rick Scotts stance on religious liberty likely won accolades from conservative Evangelicals, but he was probably not expecting to be lauded by Satanists as well.
Yet a group of Satanists in the Sunshine State will actually hold a rally in support of Scott on Jan. 25, reported Politicker.
The rally is meant to show solidarity with the governor specifically due to his support for a bill passed July 2012 that allows an inspirational message to be delivered by students at a student assembly.
The groups spokesperson, Lucian Graves, told Politicker that the organization was not necessarily in favor of the governors other policies but supports the bill. It does not specifically mention prayer, but the bills sponsor specifically cited the issue of prayer when discussing the measure.

(51,550 posts)The fact that this is for real makes it even funnier. Oh, and the spokesperson's name is "Lucian Graves." These dudes do have a sense of humor!

(12,882 posts)Goddammit!, Scotty could have NO MORE FITTING of a proponent than Satan! The two are in LOCKSTEP as far as how to treat their fellow man (and women, of course). Scott's a horn-headed, spike-tailed son of a bitch who would be most at ease reclining on a pile of embers.

(10,597 posts)... I have ever seen. Looks like the living dead, a skeleton with skin stretched over it, or one of those evil Illuminati monks from back in the middle ages with his hood down, or a worm with a face on it. If he was a decent man, like if he was a Democrat doing good things for Floridians, I'd probably give his looks a pass. But he's not.. Therefore, yuuuuuuuk!
I've never heard of Satanists coming out in the public for public rallies. What's up with that? Wonder if it's not just a group of Democrats dressed up in drudge protesting the Governor's policies?
